But for someone who's as much of a Halloween Grinch as I am, I sure take a lot of pictures on Halloween. Get ready for a lot of scrolling...
The beauty of these costumes is that they each started with a black long john set from Target. Cole's set became a burglar, Eli's became a ninja, and Rylan's became a pumpkin. And when Halloween is over, the long johns will go in their 72 hour kits, so I can feel at least a little bit like I'm getting more than one night's use out of their costumes.
I agree: too much candy. It must make our dentist happy though. We "recycle" the candy by taking the candy gotten at the church trunk-or-treat activity and giving it out on Halloween. Makes for a little less candy in the house. All candy is kept in a central candy bowl, and after a few days I send it with Curtis to work. They never get close to eating all of it.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea with the black long johns!
ReplyDeleteLove the burglar! I'll have to tell my kids that one.
ReplyDelete@Green Bean - The really funny part is that he told me that he wanted to be a spy for Halloween, but when he described the costume he had in mind, it was definitely a burglar. He kept insisting that he was a spy all the way up until we got to the trunk or treat, and then so many people called him a burglar that he said, "Actually, Momma, I'm a burglar, not a spy." :)
