Weirdest Dream Ever

Last night, I had a dream that Rylan was sort of sick. I didn't think there was anything really wrong with him, but a friend talked me into taking him to the hospital. So we sat in a room at the hospital forever while doctors kept coming in and looking at him and then leaving. The dream dragged on and on and on like that, but I kept waiting for someone to come in and tell me what was wrong with him. Then finally, my brain told myself, "Erin, this is your dream. You don't know any medical diagnoses, so the doctors are never going to diagnose him."

Funny dream, right?

Well, today, I took the boys to the playground because it was so warm. Rylan wanted to go down one of the big slides, so I sat him on my lap and we went down together. But it was one of those twisty slides, and on one of the twists, his leg got caught between me and the slide and twisted the wrong way. Rylan wailed his head off, but after a couple minutes, he calmed down, so I figured he was just really tired and took him home for a nap.

When he woke up from his nap, I got him out of his crib and tried to put him down, but he started screaming at the top of his lungs and he was shaking like crazy. I picked him back up and he wouldn't let me put him back down.

By this time I was freaking out because I figured I needed to take him to the hospital but I wasn't sure. After talking to Michael and my dad, I decided I needed to take him to the emergency room.

At the hospital, a bunch of doctors looked at Rylan's foot, he got X-Rays, and then after we'd been there for three hours, I remembered my dream.

Spooky...

Rylan seems to be okay. The doctors couldn't find anything wrong with his foot, so they told us to watch it for a couple days and bring him back if he doesn't get better. I'm really glad I didn't break his foot. That would really suck.
